In 1987 my mom’s friend gave me Sinead’s Lion And The Cobra on cassette, “I hate this. You want it?”
The music on that cassette was extreme and intense and exactly the kind of female image I needed to be empowered with. As a loner who was fed via books, music and TV, I am thankful that before my…

Images from space confirm Pakistan earthquake created a new island
We now have confirmation from space that a new island has formed off the coast of Pakistan. Yesterday, NASA sent their Earth Observing-1 (EO-1) satellite to check on the situation, and it took the picture on the right above (and below). The island is most likely a pile of mud from the ocean floor that erupted as a mud volcano shortly after a magnitude 7.8 earthquake struck northwestern Pakistans taken by the Landsat 8 satellite on April 17. The region has seen mud volcanoes in the past, including one spied by satellites in 2011.
The volcanoes form when mud and or water is squeezed out of the sediment on the ocean floor, which may have been caused by the earthquake in this most recent instance.

I made this comic entirely on computer, to see if I could! I guess I can? Neat!
Hey, don’t be an asshole! When you reblog a piece of art and write “ugh I can’t believe this idiot, I hate this so much,” the person who made it sees that. Would you enjoy waking up to that every day? I don’t think so.
Be nice! It’s underrated!
Clouds!! + this weirdo who has obviously known me too long. #clouds #storm
